Announcing the 2012 Global Survey

First of all, I’d like to say a big thank you to the more than 1,100 of you who voiced your opinions in our 2011 Survey, which ended late on 31st December 2011. That survey’s results sent out a clear message that the beliefs and practices of the Watchtower Society’s Governing Body do not meet with widespread approval, even among active Witnesses and those professing to be of the “anointed class.”

In fact, out of the total number of voters, only 2% said they were fully in agreement with all teachings and practices of the Governing Body. This damning statistic will surely be greeted with some surprise at the Watch Tower’s World Headquarters – where soon the published results will be delivered for the attention of the Governing Body.

Of course, an “Annual Survey” is a relatively new concept, and despite its popularity we were always acutely aware of the need to find areas for improvement. We certainly appreciated the many comments and suggestions for making the Survey even better. We’ve tried to use as many as possible when designing our new 2012 Global Survey.

There was one area that we felt needed some improvement: recognizing the different voter categories. It’s difficult to cater to everyone’s present circumstances with only a single set of universal questions. For example, active publishers will likely have a different outlook than “disfellowshipped” or “disassociated” persons. We were also keenly interested in directing more specific questions to certain groups such as elders and those professing to be of the “Anointed,” allowing us to more effectively and accurately drill down to the core issues affecting different subgroups.

For this reason, we decided to introduce six key voter categories for the purpose of making the results more meaningful and the questions more individualized. The categories are:

  • Active Publisher
  • Active Elder
  • Anointed (Memorial Partaker)
  • Disfellowshipped/Disassociated
  • Inactive (“Faders”)
  • Unbaptized

We hope that by personalizing the survey, questions will be easier for participants to answer, and hopefully the results will be far more revealing.

So all that remains now is that I want to personally urge all of you – including those who voted last year – to take a few minutes and vote NOW in the 2012 Global Survey! I am confident that we will far surpass the amount of votes gathered for the first Survey, which was only available during the final quarter of 2011. The question before us is: With nearly a full year ahead of us, just how many votes will we receive?

By all means, keep logging in to to check the results as they come in. And once more we ask that you PLEASE spread the word to your family, friends, facebook contacts, as many others as you feel will be able to participate. Let’s all make 2012 a truly landmark year!

Remember: You are no longer the silent majority. Your opinion matters. Now make it count!

Thanks for the tips shared using your blog. Another thing I would like to express is that fat reduction is not information on going on a celebrity diet and trying to reduce as much weight as you’re able in a few days. The most effective way to lose weight naturally is by having it slowly but surely and right after some basic guidelines which can help you to make the most from your attempt to shed pounds. You may learn and already be following many of these tips, nonetheless reinforcing expertise never affects.
