Since 2011, The Global Survey launched by this website has been the cornerstone upon which JW Survey has built an important online link between current and former Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the doctrines which control every aspect of their lives.
Following the unexpected but positive response to the very first survey conducted by this site, JW Survey has produced hundreds of articles featuring breaking news, news bulletins, and commentary on the subjects which affect Jehovah’s Witnesses on a daily basis.
in January 2016, site owner Lloyd Evans announced the addition of two new editors, Covert Fade and John Redwood, who would assume the role of managing JW Survey. This addition expanded the capabilities of JW Survey and spread the load of work required to keep up with the cascading number of newsworthy Witness-specific stories.
It became clear that this was to be a team effort, and together with our Friday Column authors, we are enormously grateful to all who have contributed to this site, through articles, intensive research and fact-checking, and even by making insightful comments on our frequent posts.
JW Survey Welcomes Chloe, Global Survey Editor
Since 2016, with the addition of two editors, more writers, and a research specialist, we found ourselves lacking the time and resources to continue to manage the popular annual Survey. Covering child abuse cases among Jehovah’s Witnesses in itself was quickly becoming a full-time job.
It is with great pleasure that we have solved this dilemma by welcoming our new director of the Global Survey, Chloe.
Chloe, baptized at 14 years of age as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, managed to break free from the Watchtower organization in 2013. Her goal is to help others by sharing her own experiences and focusing on constructive ways of encouraging persons facing similar challenges.
Having already initiated the 2017 Survey, we asked Chloe for her feedback, to which she responded:
“Within a week of this year’s survey opening, more than 650 individuals have taken part. Considering the peak participation of the survey – being 6083 individuals in a given calendar year – the response has been certainly overwhelming”
If you have not had the chance to take the 2017 Survey yet, please take a few moments to answer the survey questions, which will give Chloe and our team ample time to compile the results soon after the close of 2017. We welcome active Jehovah’s Witnesses to take this survey along with former Witnesses, as the goal in our research is to obtain the most objective data possible.
To improve the quality and function of our survey, we welcome all suggestions, which can be made by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to a productive year of writing, investigating, reporting, and sharing our viewpoint of the daily challenges facing Jehovah’s Witnesses, and as always – we thank our readers for their support and encouragement.
